From MangaCast comes the translation of the Gamers weekly light novel rankings (February 14, 2008).

Ichijinsha will start a new light novel label titled "Ichijinsha Bunko" on May 20, 2008. The lineup of light novels under this label (Ichijinsha Bunko) is divided into two: "boy's" light novels, and "girl's" light novels. Publication of light novels will be on the 20th of each month.

In May 20, 2008, the publication will start with boy's light novels, with 7 light novel volumes to be published on that day. Some already established light novel writers will be working on new light novel series, like Jumonji Ao (author of Sneaker Bunko's Bara no Maria light novel series) will be authoring the ANGEL+DIVE light novel series for this new label.

The publication of girl's light novels is scheduled to begin in summer 2008. The girl's light novels will contain: novel adaptations of popular manga from "Comic Zero-Sum" magazine, novel adaptations of popular games, and original girl's novels that focus on fantasy. Also, yuri novels from "Comic Yuri Hime" is scheduled to be published.

Next information update concerning "Ichijinsha Bunko" is scheduled for March.

The love comedy/action light novel series "Kenpufer" by Tsukiji Toshihiko (author) and Senmu (illustrator) will be getting a manga adaptation. The manga will start serialization from the April issue of the manga magazine Comic Alive (on sale February 27, 2008), and it will be drawn by Tachibana Yu.
