A review of the "Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora" light novel series. Fans of this series call it "Hantsuki" for short.
Japanese title: 半分の月がのぼる空
English title: Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora

Author: Hashimoto Tsumugu
Illustrator: Yamamoto Keiji
Available volumes: 8 volumes (finished)
Publisher: MediaWorks
Label: Dengeki Bunko
"Hantsuki" is set in Ise, the most famous shrine town in Japan.
The heroine, Rika, has a severe heart complication.
Yuichi, the hero of the story, is hospitalized with hepatitis A and gets introduced to Rika. She is beautiful but selfish, hard to please. Even the doctors and nurses can't control her. At first, Rika gives him the cold shoulder; but then one day, Yuichi rents her book, and they gradually become close.
Hashimoto Tsumugu has also written "Battle Ship Girl", "River's End", "Mofu Obake to Kinyoubi no Kaidan(Blanket Monster and Friday Stairs)".

Well i am searching for the english adaption, but i guess noone licensed in the english-speaking area? Does anyone might know where i can get the whole work (not Anime) of Hantsuki? Light Novel or Manga Version in english.
To the story following the anime. I like it. I wish there will be a happy end. But it might not be come true no matter how strong i wish or think positive of it, it might be a only a half moon in the end.

This light novel series hasn't been licensed by any english publishing company. The manga and anime adaptation of the light novel series haven't been licensed too.
I loved the anime too, and I also wish that the light novel series gets licensed. I'm hoping some company will license the anime series, which might generate more interest in the series, and that will lead to the licensing of the light novel series.

Ahhh you and I both. All those great animes that are made from novels should be known to the world. Hanbun no tsuki ga noboru sora is one and ...... Ginban kaleidoscope is another.

I so wish i could read the volumes. I'm just dying to get my hands on them in English! *sigh* i guess i'll have to play the waiting game... i think i'm actually going to be the volumes of les thibault because of this story.

If you're dying to get your hands on the title, flood US licensors like Tokyopop or others with email demanding they license it, or you can organize a petition campaign. It's proven to work for getting Japanese video game licensed here.

What is aftereffects? and can you make it into english?? please email how at carrie338@slipstream.co.uk
much appreciated! =)

Translation is simple in Adobe After effects, get the transcripts of the movie and translate it on the net. Then just make text appear over the animation. I do something similar for my Manga collection and favorite songs.
